NYC Partnerships Director

 

We are looking for a partnerships coordinator who will be tasked with managing Reveal’s donations and storage unit located in Seaport, Manhattan.

Overall Requirements:

  • Time Commitment: Monthly commitment going to the NYC storage unit and coordinating donation pickups

  • Monthly Meetings

  • Based in NYC

  • Unpaid volunteer role

  • ~8 to 12 hours per month, attend leadership meetings/calls and coordinate teams as necessary; perform other administrative tasks as needed

Skills Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Has a ‘doer’ mentality, team oriented, proactive and has a willingness to learn, ability to be proactive, plan and manage expectations

  • Has experience with non-profit organizations

  • Quick and responsive, ability to plan out needs

Job Description:

  • Maintain healthy relationships with corporate partners and individual donors  to generate in-kind donations and sponsorship for makeover events, workshops, and other Reveal Beauty programming

  • Cultivate existing partnerships to potentially expand involvement with Reveal from in-kind donations to financial donations, event sponsorship and/or volunteer recruiting, in collaboration with Fundraising and Events Teams

  • Network within relevant industries (fashion, beauty, hair, cosmetics, personal care; social work and domestic violence/sex trafficking organizations)  to develop new partners in accordance with Reveal’s mission, values, and strategic needs

  • Maintain and grow database of corporate contacts, conduct regular follow-up and check-ins with partners

  • Direct donations/inventory and partner participation toward makeovers, workshops and other appropriate events in collaboration with Events/Fundraising/Operations/Volunteer teams

  • Be able to account for estimated monetary value of all inventory by maintaining a running document of all inventory coming in and going out
